Our theme is based on health and wellness in a dystopian world, along with the effects of social status and societal impacts on individuals.
[[Chapter 1: The Choice]]In a dystopian world where the elites control wellness and health, promising eternal youth, Alex is a high level employee at LifeCorporation. This corporation manages aspects of life pertaining to wealth, family, health, and overall happiness. One day Alex notices a group of protestors outside, holding signs and demanding personal freedom and balance in health.
Alex, a high level sales associate for the prestigious LifeCorporation, lives a comfortable life. Coming from nothing, he makes a good living by helping others maintain vitality and youthfulness. This day was just like any other– Alex parked his shiny new company car and waltzed toward the entrance to the 30 story steel and glass building. But this time, something seemed different, almost eerie. As Alex approaches the doors, he notices a gaggle of people, shouting and holding signs. He is used to the hectic city of New York around him that has constant chaos, but this was different.
[[Approach the Protestors]]
[[Ignore the Protestors]]Alex runs into Leah, a passionate protestor and an old friend, who shares her story of how her brother was denied treatment because he refused to conform to LifeCorp’s strict regimen. Alex starts questioning the ethics of the company
Alex: Leah?
Leah: Oh my gosh, Alex! What are you doing here? I haven’t seen you since college. Are you here to protest too?
Alex: No, I actually work here…
Leah: Oh.. you know this place is corrupt, right?
Alex: This is a great company, why do you say that?
Leah: Only if you are one of them! Remember my brother, Noah? He has cancer and was DENIED the care he needs just because he won’t get the chip implanted in his arm. It’s so messed up! Healthcare should be for everyone!
Alex: Oh, I didn’t know that, I’m so sorry……. Listen, I really should get going, I hope you figure something out for your brother
Leah: Yeah, go ahead, continue to be one of them… but if you change your mind, there’s a meeting tomorrow evening at the Ave B car garage, if you want to know what your company is REALLY up to, since you seem pretty clueless yourself.
[[Attend the meeting]]
[[Decline the Invitation]] Alex enters the office and is commended by their superior, Mr. Gates, for their dedication. However, Alex can’t shake the feeling of unease about the protester’s message.
Mr Gates: Ah, there he is! My favorite youthful, healthcare guru! Would you join me in my office for a moment please?
Aex: (uneasily) Oh, sure Mr. Gates
Mr Gates. Listen, son, the numbers don’t lie. You have been our top performer for awhile now and I think you deserve some recognition for that.
Alex: Oh, thank you sir, but that’s not necess–
Mr. Gates: Nonsense! You don’t have to be so humble. I have a new assignment for you. I am promoting you to a top tier associate level. This means access to a whole new range of files. You have become one of my most trusted employees and I want you to take over this corporation one day, you have been like a son to me!
Alex: But Mr Gates, I–
Mr. Gates: No more talk, boy! Get to work, there are confidential files that need your IMMEDIATE attention!
[[Investigate the files]]
[[Focus on the task]]Alex decided to attend the secret meeting.
Alex learns about the rebellion’s plans to expose LifeCorp’s lies and realizes the company’s promises of eternal youth come with severe consequences for those who fall out of line. Alex feels a growing urge to help.
Alex: So this is really happening to a lot of people, huh?
Leah: Yeah, and has been for years. I can’t believe you’re one of them
Alex: Leah, I’m not, I swear! I didn’t know this was happening. Mr Gates always assures us that everyone is always getting the healthcare that they need and deserve.
Leah: Yeah, well, I’m sure that’s not the only lie he’s told you. Please open your eyes, Alex. This guy is bad news, please don’t continue down this path with him. We need you here.
[[Infiltrate LifeCorp]]
[[Join the Rebellion]]Alex returns home, but Leah's words haunt them. The next day, Alex begins discreetly researching LifeCorps operations, discovering unsettling truths. The chip being implanted in everybody's arm isn’t to track their health status, but releases chemicals to make the patient come back in so they can make more money.
[[Confront Mr. Gates]]
[[Secretly Leak information]]Mr. Gates assigns Alex a project that requires access to confidential company files, offering a glimpse into LifeCorp’s true operations. The chips that are being implanted into patients are actually filled with a chemical that Mr. Gates has termed “devitalize” and after reading a laundry list of ingredients, Alex realizes that this chip is actually making people sick, not helping them get better.
Alex uncovers evidence of LifeCorp’s unethical practices, including the suppression of information about the side effects of their treatments. Alex feels compelled to act.

Alex completes the project efficiently, earning Mr. Gates’ trust. However, Alex remains unaware of the company’s darker secrets, continuing to work in ignorance.
[[Confront Mr. Gates]]
[[Secretly Leak information]]Alex chooses to stay undercover within LifeCorp to gather more incriminating evidence.
Alex gains access to top secret information, risking exposure but potentially dealing a critical blow to LifeCorp’s operations.
[[Confront Mr. Gates]]
[[Focus on the task]] Alex decides to leave LifeCorp and join the rebellion openly.
Alex becomes a key figure in the rebellion, using their inside knowledge to create strategic attacks against LifeCorp, inspiring more people to join the cause.
[[Secretly Leak information]] Alex confronts Mr. Gates with the information they’ve discovered.
Mr. Gates tries to bribe or threaten Alex into silence. Alex must decide whether to take a stand or protect themselves.
Alex: Mr. Gates, we need to talk. A word in your office please?
Mr. Gates: Of course, my boy! What can I do for my rising star?
Alex: Look, Mr. Gates, I know what’s really happening at this company. I know what the tracking chips are doing.. I know they’re infused with the chemicals that we BANNED years ago, making them sick and guaranteeing that they will always need our care. And this is helping people? I can’t be part of this, I’m going public with this information and you can’t stop me!
Mr. Gates: My boy, you just don’t see the bigger picture.. They will need us with or without those chemicals, the chemicals just add a little *pizzaz*, if ya know what I mean. And how do you plan on getting people to believe you?
Alex: Oh don’t you worry, I’ve got everything I need right here on this USB drive.
Mr. Gates: Now, Alex.. why don’t we talk about this like adults. You are still one of my most trusted and highest earning employees. I told you, I thought of you as a son for God’s sake! And this is how you treat me? How about I offer you a bonus and we forget this little conversation ever happened (starts writing on a piece of paper and slides it over to Alex)
Alex: No way, sir, there's no amount of money– (opens the paper to see more 0’s than he’s ever seen in his life) *gulps* Ok sir, I guess you have a deal
Mr. Gates: That’s my boy.. Now, back to work! (Hands him money with handshake)
[[Accept Hush Money]]
The media exposes LifeCorp’s corruption, leading to public outrage and massive protests. LifeCorp’s control starts to crumble as the truth spreads.
Mr. Gates: Everybody! Emergency meeting now in room 610, nobody is allowed to leave until I see you all there!
Alex: Mr. Gates, is everything okay? What’s going on?
Mr. Gates: No, everything is falling apart. We have been exposed to the public and are being threatened by almost everyone. Our patients too.
Alex: What’s going to happen?
Mr. Gates: I will be taken down within a matter of hours, and lose everything I have worked for! The public doesn’t understand what they’re doing, they’re beyond ignorant!
Alex: Well, maybe what you were doing wasn’t ethical, and the people started to catch on, boss…
Mr. Gates: Now why would you say that? The only person who could have leaked this information would be one of my staff… who could ever betray me like this?!
Alex: I’m not sure, but it must be somebody who is just trying to open up the public's eyes. (Alex shrugs and walks away)
[[Leaked information]]Alex continues to work in his plush corner office with a view, with one eye on his work and one eye on Leah and the rest of the rebellion. What would’ve happened and how many people could Alex have helped if he had leaked the information? Alex continues working in silence, keeping his head down. Hoping to gather enough information, money, and courage to one day step up for what’s right.
The government has been informed of what the chip does, and comes to shut down the hospital while news reporters swarm outside.
Mr. Gates: Where are you taking me! This can’t be happening! (Alex trails behind them)
Government official: Sir, I advise you to stay quiet until you’re sitting in the courtroom or with your lawyers.
Mr. Gates: (being led outside with news reporters everywhere) Who are all these people?
(cameras flash everywhere as people bombard Mr. Gates with questions)
Alex: Where are they taking you?
Mr. Gates: Nowhere! They’re going to realize that they need me, and are making the biggest mistake of their life!
Alex: Everybody knows now… there can’t be coming back from this.
Mr. Gates: You just wait and see. All you news reporters, get this on camera. I WILL be back, and you’re all going to just look stupid and crazy!
